  • 9-11 Trumbull St New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Downtown

The City of New Haven has still not made any of the accessibility improvements that were required when it repaved Trumbull and Wall Sts.

Here's a video of what happens when someone hits one of the three denials of access on Trumbull at full speed and then when attempting to climb it (when one wheel gets stuck, the assistive device turns and, in this case, sends someone spinning out of control and into the street)..

  • 40-78 Church St New Haven, CT, 06510, USA - Town_Green

  • 1001–1011 Chapel St New Haven CT 06510, United States - Downtown
Corner curb cuts at College and Chapel need repair I received a complaint about the lack of accessibility at the intersection
  • 39 Roydon Rd New Haven, Connecticut, 06511 - Beaver Hills

    Good afternoon.

This is a real issue for me and my elderly spouse. We can't walk down the street and it's become a bigger issue.

Can someone please fix this already.

  • Barnett St & Fountain St New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - Westville
New curb installed at the corner of Fountain and Barnett doesn't have a ramp for the Barnett crossing. It seems like this doesn't meet ADA standards for new construction - and is a problem for people pushing strollers at an intersection where cars make quick, sharp turns.
  • 66 Norton St New Haven, Connecticut, 06511 - Edgewood
the elevator is constantly broken, when having a family member visit recently i spoke with a neighbor in the elevator as it was swinging like a pendulum who agreed, its broken every 3 days. there is no way for anyone who uses a wheelchair or walker to access any floor when broken every 3 days or enter the building since there is no ramp to enter the building nor a sign to let you know this is 66 Norton street
  • 100 Mckinley Ave New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - Westville
Property owner at 116 MicKinley Ave is taking up 1/3-1/2 of the Edgewood Ave sidewalk with their evergreen bushes—even after a fresh trim. Private bushes should not block public sidewalks. Wheelchair access here is not possible, particularly when the sidewalk reduces.
  • 18 Trumbull St New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Downtown
The City if New Haven very obviously Violated 28 CFR § 35.151 when it repaved Trumbull St. but failed to remediate at least two impassable sections of sidewalk on the North side (and some that are traversable .but exceed the 1/2" "absolute maximum" vertical level change.
  • 120 Alston Ave New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - Westville
    No sidewalk. Bike lane overgrown.
  • 278-398 Yale Ave New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - Westville
Bike light is not working — one way it doesn’t detect bikes. The other way, the green light is too short for cyclists to get through. These lights are not usable and therefore make things more dangerous rather than safer.
  • 60-198 Laurel Rd New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - Westville
This wide, curving, pot hole-filled, one-way road that has broken or entirely lacks sidewalks on parts of both sides is designed to encourage speeding drivers and make it dangerous for people walking or using micromobility vehicles. Redesign is desperately needed. Think smooth sidewalks that don’t flood, (contraflow) micromobility lanes, etc. Might be worth limiting car access to residents.
  • Clark St New Haven, Connecticut, 06511 - SOHU
I'm not sure what to report because I'm not sure what this structure that runs the length of Clark St. is or why it's here.
