Signal crew responded and verified proper intersection operation IAW traffic plan.

Did they verify in sub-zero temperatures? It is only in extremely cold temperatures that it does not operate. I cannot trust a notice that says it operates now when the temperature is still in the twenties.

The Signal Division verified the operation of all pedestrian indications and pedestrian push buttons. The pedestrian push button on the north-west corner was found to be a little hard to actuate and was replaced. The operation was verified while temperatures were below 20 degrees Fahrenheit.

I truly appreciate that but temperatures can get a lot colder and when they are in single digits, for example, I have trouble with almost all of the electronic traffic lights. Someone told me that part of the mechanism can freeze in very low temperatures. There should be some kind of back-up or a way to alert drivers that lights do not work in extreme cold. I do not have trouble with the standard ones where you push the button, except in cases where snow makes those inaccessible.
